Rise of a Township
Located to the south of Seberang Perai, Batu Kawan is the third satellite town of Penang after Bayan Lepas and Seberang Jaya. Once a quiet fishing village, Batu Kawan in recent times has experienced remarkable development, uplifting its status into an emerging township.

Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge – Dawn of a New Era
Completed in March 2014, Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge, also known as the Second Penang Bridge, marked a crucial point in history for Penang as a state and on a more specific level, Batu Kawan township.
Connecting Batu Maung on the island to Batu Kawan, this iconic bridge is seen by many as the key catalyst for socio-economic growth in the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER).
